Clean energy is essential to sustain a growing planetary civilization. Energy is what fuels industry, food and water, entertainment, as well as hope and prosperity.

Widespread fossil fuels usage is causing global warming via the infrared absorption nature of CO2. Regardless, fossil fuels will not remain adequate to sustain civilization unless they are used to build the next energy infrastructure before they become depleted. Peak oil is based on the real numbers of accelerating use. Peak oil threatens to collapse civilization as we know it.

Wind and solar can not yet power civilization because we do not have the production facilities capable of making the 100,000 square miles of solar panel material, the millions of giant wind turbines, and the billions of batteries necessary. Yet, these are possible if mass produced in advanced robotic factories for pennies on the dollar.

Meanwhile, a decades old (and proven) technology is available which can provide more than enough electricity to power “everything” and a world full of electric cars. This technology is based on nuclear fission using molten fuels and coolants such as the Integrated Fast Reactor and the Liquid fluoride Thorium Reactor.

However, we can NOT base our future on conventional light water reactors (water cooled reactors or LWR)!
Water is not an ideal coolant. If the power goes out and if the emergency generators run out of fuel or are destroyed, the solid fuel will evaporate the water away or get so hot that the water turns into explosive hydrogen. Then the solid fuel gets so hot, it melts down and emits thousands of times the radioactivity in a containment that is no longer able to contain.

Worse yet is the necessity to keep water available to cool the many tons of (un)spent wastes! Other disadvantages include high pressure, very low efficiency and thus very long radioactive decay times for large amounts of (un)spent wastes. Water, heat, radioactive fuel and high pressures obviously do not make for passive safety. These also do not allow for the efficient conversion of more than just a few percent of the fuel into energy.

Therefore, the LWR can NOT power humanity past peak oil.

Even though, this dangerous type of nuclear reaction has been proven to be the safest source of energy. Yes, even safer than wind and solar! This is because more people die from falling from heights in the Renewable Energy field than who die from nuclear.

However, if just one serious lWR accident happens, its safety record could change for the worse.

Continued fossil fuel use is not the answer. Vastly more people die as a result of fossil fuel pollution than all other energy related fields combined.

The biosphere (which supports ALL LIFE) itself is at risk because excess CO2 will cause ocean acidification and melt the icecaps!

This is why we need to build nuclear reactors based on molten fuels. The IFR and the LFTR do not require high pressure, do not require water and they also convert the fuel into almost 100% energy. No meltdowns are possible and much less wastes are involved. In fact this is the ONLY technology that exists at this time which can power (a growing) humanity beyond fossil fueled depletion for over a thousand years.

Yes, molten fuel based reactors can power humanity for over a thousand years!

Energy is the basis of peace and prosperity, let’s make it clean and unlimited…

Clean sources of energy and social skills MUST be extrapolated by virtue of their possibility, at least to their already, albeit sparingly, proven possibility.
We CAN efficiently sustain billions of happy humans… but we won’t.

The fact that the department of energy has (quite literally) abandoned a path to progress in favor of just dig’n more fossils substantiates a belief that “inability” is a planned event, to ever increase wealth and power within a system designed on fossil fuels, with the exception of Moore’s law.

Moore’s law enables machine automation which is indeed a real game changer (and about to happen coincidentally at the peak of oil). One that could’ve ushered in a type of utopia (by use of a different social system?), but most probably will cause massive unemployment (within this system).

Eventually, machines will make everything and thus the PERCEIVED energy shortage will become a cruel reality for a seemingly excess population and all their children that will (by that time) have no means to make a living, because corporate conglomerations will own the land, the water, the “remaining” energy and, of course, their fancy machines.

Do to an inability to implement proven clean energy on a grand scale, and due to the lack of overall vision and action (except as in a WWII scenario) to collectively address machine evolution within dinosaur social systems, this is my nightmarish vision of “utopia”.

To Whom it may concern,

Increased productivity through UNLIMITED CLEAN ENERGY should be the number one goal, no matter what. The quickest way is through the liquid fluoride thorium reactor (LFTR) as proven at ORNL 50 years ago to be a promising alternative.

No need for energy stalemates and fossil fueled depletion which threaten maintaining cutting edge defense capabilities.

Preventing excess CO2 and ocean acidification by seriously reducing carbon emissions is critical, if we are to prevent the next oceanic anoxic event.

Physicists suggest that the ONE MILLION times concentration of energy from nuclear is the easiest and quickest way to convert over from hydrocarbons, HOWEVER, not any nuclear is suitable for widespread global use, especially, today’s inherently dangerous light water reactors.

A much better reactor design uses a molten mix which prevent any chances of meltdown or hydrogen explosions, which burns the fuel efficiently, who’s fuel does not need enrichment, and which can actually burn spent waste. Therefore, less waste is created from LFTR even as the living standards of BILLIONS of people can be brought up to decent standards.


Everything else is just trivial in comparison except for the increased economic productivity that results from unlimited, (almost) clean electricity and its conversion to liquid fuels and or batteries.

If we extracted just 1/10th of 1% of the lithium in the oceans, we would have enough to build some 18 Billion Tesla (electric car) type batteries… (search “Karen Pease ocean lithium”)
If we used thorium in a molten salt reactor (which was proven back in the 1960’s at ORNL) we would have unlimited (almost) clean energy…
And if we used the same type of machines used to crank out the petro based vehicles to make the batteries we would be able to afford to save the biosphere from ourselves.
But the hardest thing to do is the collective action thing… because TV rules the world.
We are not quite ready to “stop growing”, even in the face of all the problems associated with it. Eventually, we will have to figure out how to live sustainably, without any additional growth. Fossil fueled depletion into an overheated world need not apply, but is our only option if we continue with the capitalist (or any other “ism” based) social systems known today. However, we must continue hope for a new system to emerge that does not base resources on a bottom line achieved only by the cheapest wage countries, one that does not create inferior products made from (cheaper) non-environmentally conscious extraction methods, and one that does not have to impose rations on the global population due to its eventual folly.
This new system could be called “A machine economy based on the efficient extraction and distribution of resources devoid of profit”. At first, factories that use advanced machine automation create “things” that require installation jobs. Solar panels and batteries fit the bill. Since these things would be created for almost free, 24/7, installers fill the unemployment gap and industrialism begins anew in ALL parts of the world within current systems. As automation continues, everyone begins to receive “benefits” by virtue of their existence. Free water, free food, free housing… free entertainment and air! Actually, in a world where automation creates unemployment, these become OUR RIGHTS!
You see, if we can automate the infrastructure (and use electric cars, hydroponics, leds, etc, for more energy efficiency) we can do away with the notion of DIE OFFS due to economic collapse. People, instead go to work on coordination in order to, at first maintain and tech upgrade the infrastructure… for free (because, at some point in time, there will be no money due to the collapse of present economic systems) and then, to completely automate almost “everything else”. Machines build themselves, they build buildings out of, say, carbon graphine and machines make room for the environment too by relying on a newly created electrical infrastructure based upon natural gas, algae, solar, wind and batteries…
And, ultimately, by LFTR, the far better way to split the atom. Yes, it will take the awesome power of a type of reactor invented wholly fifty years ago to enable the steady state comprising upwards of 50 billion people without ration!
Only in this way can humanity fulfill the need to grow and at the same time, REDUCE degradation.


Substance abuse prevention.

Undeniable rights.

Personal spending preferences.

Economical, energy and environmental awareness.

Regaining jobs by use of balanced trade tariffs on cheap wage countries.

We really have to address substance abuse, as this must be the leading cause of pain, suffering and in this case, partial illiteracy and scientific waning. The recognition of undeniable rights for all people must prevail in order to build positive social change across the globe. Personal spending choices are the best way to vote as moneys directed towards anti-local job interests and continued business as usual (BAU) rob western economies and may also keep less well to do geopolitical areas from ever achieving the means for their betterment. The three “E’s”, economic, energy, and environment, are bound together offering a glimpse into hell (for all nationsif not addressed. And the rebuilding of industrial might by enacting a balanced tariff on China, etc, would create needed jobs, thus an attainment of capital needed to meet the challenges of sustaining planetary civilization long enough to develop fusion power and space colonization for all geopolitical areas.

So that humanity can realize that God is not just another form or precessor of science and to learn the purpose of our existence…

This is the scratch pad for the SUPER plan. I hope for collaboration to build a foundation that correctly lists the actions needed to implement and strengthen each of these vital steps. I urge everyone to become involved, somehow, in one or more of these (or other) positive actions.

We have the tech (to make the machines) to make renewable energy cheap…
Just not the will to unite to better our economy and our environment.
Please join forces to promote machine made RE parts, anti price gouging on such parts, to block enviro and lobbying laws against large scale RE installation (jobs!), and to put tariffs on China so that our government can better support this most urgent of transitions (among other things).

If you do not believe that XSCO2 is, indeed a truth to be concerned about (and as is documented), then how about this… Eventually, we will deplete our fossil fuel reserves and thus our children won’t be able to afford to drive (unless they are financially very well to do). This would subsequently cause inflation in two ways: High energy costs are passed on to all other aspects of society, and thus more money would have to be printed for subsidization due to more people not being able to afford life’s necessities. Hyperinflation and complete societal breakdown could be the result.

And if you do not believe that oil will deplete past the average person’s ability to pay and do not believe in the dangers of XSCO2, there is still the very real economic disaster awaiting an America that refuses to build up its industrial prowess. This is why we MUST cry foul against all those politicians which allow American companies to hire “slave labor” overseas. They and their products must be taxed to the max and tariffed to at least some degree. Anything produced overseas usually does not create additional installation jobs. A few that do, however, are fence posts and solar panels. Perhaps, the tariffs should be reduced for such jobs creating items!

If YOU are too busy to speak up, then America and other free nations will lose independence, the oceans really will absorb XSCO2, become acidic, then anoxic (and we won’t have the financial capability to do anything about it), then the air will begin to reek of hydrogen sulfide, just as in the dieoffs, geologic eons ago, that converted XSCO2 into our present store of fossil fuels…

These are the most urgent matters, even more than party sided issues (and beer!).

Our country has been torn apart by business interests that seek to conglomerate their trade routes by psychological divide and conquer tactics.

So has our future, the grand vision of unlimited clean energy, of clean battery electric transportation within multilevel 3-d cities made out of carbon graphine, of space exploration, its resource exploitation and finally, colonization…

Our current global political system has robbed us of of the hope to prosper indefinitely .

I believe the solution is to reduce spending money on the items the big corporations make in exchange for products made within borders, to block any laws that create more “big brother” (other than for children’s safety) and to just speak out about these issues (and above solutions) all the time.

A Better City Layout

In new city design, high rises shouldn’t just be parts of a city… They need to be the city.

Imagine a building that has electric car paths on all the levels, that have cables to which the electric “cars” attach to for vertical transport. Consisting of many architecturally different designs all melded together, spaces for mini-parks and places of business throughout.

The overall efficiency would excel over the usual American landscape with no need for stop signs and where “everything” is within bicycle (and vertical cable) distance. After being built, the 3-d city would require far less fossil fuels, perhaps even being able to support itself by concentrated solar thermal and other RE (or advanced nuclear if residents would allow). Process heat could then be used to desalinate water.

We still have all the seeds to create a better future, with less congestion, even if the global population was to reach many tens of billions! As long as the ideas are not shredded by big “business as usual”…
